Skinny jeans were my thing for many years and while I did add a pair of 'mom' jeans into my wardrobe a few months ago that phase soon passed and I was back to the good old skinnies. That was until I saw the rise of the <a href="http://www.asos.com/search/asos%20farleigh?q=asos+farleigh" rel="nofollow">ASOS Farleigh Jean</a>

Beauty boxes, I'm sure you're familiar with the concept and have most likely read several blog posts featuring the likes of Birchbox, Glossy box as well as the standard Latest In Beauty boxes. I, however, am more a fan of the one-off limited edition boxes.

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping in Next and spotted their makeup range and I'm all for clothing brands bringing out collections. Some of my favourite products are from New Look and Primark, so of course I wanted to pick up a couple items to give a try...even more tempting was that they were 3 for 2.

Layers, layers, layers. While it is apparently springtime...layers are still very much a necessity. As soon as the sun disappears behind a cloud it's freezing cold and feels like November all over again. Talking of November I think it's when I first saw checked blazers make an appearance.

But let's not forget that there's always that fear in the pit of our stomach before a first date. With when it comes to the many free dating apps and websites available it's rare that you have previously met your date. Sometimes you agree to go on a date with someone only to discover they're older than they said, chain smoker and don't know any manners and you want to run screaming for the hills.

April has arrived and hopefully is going to bring some warmer weather with its arrival. I can't be the only one that's bored and fed up with the cold. Wearing cosy clothes and chunky knits just doesn't seem right now we're in April...especially since Easter has passed.

While I have products that are my ride and die, I always love mixing it up. I'm always scared of ending up with products gathering dust because I've forgotten about them and not used them...after all makeup isn't cheap. That being said I think I'll always stick to a foundation I know is reliable (even if I do love testing new ones out) as well as having a trusty nude lipstick I can always rely on to make me look and feel confident af.

Dissertation. Exams. Social events. Presentations. Nobody warns you how busy you're going to be in third year...specifically in your last couple of terms of your entire university career. Honestly, I wasn't prepared at all and while I only have 3 classes a week I still find myself struggling to do everything I want.

May 2018 will mark 2 years since the creation of Aesthetic Obsessed and while it began as a hobby over the past couple of years I've fallen in love with everything to do with blogging <s>well other than scheduling tweets</s> and now I'm going to the end of my degree in dance...I have 2 weeks before my dissertation deadline, I'm questioning as to what to do after university.

Located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, Elan Cafe has become quite a popular spot for bloggers and influencers alike...as well as those just trying to get the perfect shot for the 'gram. What better location to have lunch with someone I'd never previously met?

If you ever meet me at an event you'll probably be thinking I'm extremely confident and outgoing, when in reality I'm quite a shy person and I keep to myself more often than not. While I have come out of my shell a lot more in the nearly 2 years that I have been blogging, I'm still very much an introvert.

When an invitation for a spa day with yoga and afternoon tea popped into my inbox from <a href="https://www.spaseekers.com/" rel="nofollow">Spa Seekers</a>, I obviously couldn't resist. I'd never been to an actual spa before, unless you count turning my bedroom or bathroom into my own personal spa (like in my <a href="https://alicia-smith.co.uk/perfect-valentines-pamper-evening/">The Perfect Valentines Pamper Evening</a> post).

With only a week until Valentine's day, you can hear the stress of men and women everywhere trying to come up with the perfect present and date idea. Is a posh dinner overdone? Can we really just stay in and relax? Why do I have to get him/her flowers? In all honesty, you don't have to do anything if you don't want to.

So as much I love reading and watching people's monthly favourites, I personally hate writing the posts myself. I've attempted them several times in the past since they're typical "beauty blogger" posts. In honesty their not my cup of tea though. Instead, I'm going to talk about new discoveries I've made every month, but not go into too much detail.

So between Christmas and my birthday, I may have picked up one, two or quite a few new makeup items and I thought I'd put together an edit of some of my favourite things that I've picked up. Most of these are sure to become staples in my everyday makeup, or they already have.

Twenty-one years. I've been alive for 21 years...goodness knows how I've made it this far, but I have by some miracle and I'm ready to embark on the next 21 years of my life. It's been one heck of a rollercoaster ride and at times I've just wanted to stop and get off...but I've persevered through awkward teen years, bad hair dye and overdramatic eyeliner.

Relationships can be a tricky minefield to explore, especially when you're not really experienced with adult relationships and instead your more accustom with the pecks behind the lunch hall or lusting after a celebrity that doesn't even know you exist.

Is it 2018...how? I remember seeing in 2000...I was only 3 but it's my first memory I have. I also remember when 2010 happened and it was scary that we were in double digits...now we are closer to 2020 than 2010.

I find it hard to believe we've reached the end of 2017. I've been in a relationship nearly 6 months now, I'm only 4 months away from finishing my degree. How has the time gone so quickly?

We're creeping ever so slowly closer to Christmas morning, and while in past years I would start watching Christmas films from the 1st of December...this year I haven't watched a single one yet! <b>I know I'm shocked at myself as well.</b> While this year I've been watching more TV Christmas Specials <s>especially Gavin & Stacey, Call The Midwife and Dr. Who</s> Christmas films never fail to put me in the Christmas spirit...something I'm seriously lacking this year.
