It's been two years since I first hit publish on my <a href="https://alicia-smith.co.uk/whats-in-my-makeup-bag/">What's In My Makeup Bag</a> post and what a rollercoaster it's been since. I've come on in leaps and bounds. Although I'm still nowhere near where I want to be with my blog, there's still a lot of room to grow and develop.

May 2018 will mark 2 years since the creation of Aesthetic Obsessed and while it began as a hobby over the past couple of years I've fallen in love with everything to do with blogging <s>well other than scheduling tweets</s> and now I'm going to the end of my degree in dance...I have 2 weeks before my dissertation deadline, I'm questioning as to what to do after university.

If you ever meet me at an event you'll probably be thinking I'm extremely confident and outgoing, when in reality I'm quite a shy person and I keep to myself more often than not. While I have come out of my shell a lot more in the nearly 2 years that I have been blogging, I'm still very much an introvert.

On the sunny morning of June 3rd, myself and Izzy Marie Hill (from A Dose Of Chatter) made our way to Farringdon to attend The Bloggers Hub Summer Penthouse Party in collaboration with Spectrum Collections.

I'm not quite sure how this little space on the internet has reached its first birthday!

While I may have days where I just lounge around in bed not necessarily doing anything outwardly productive, the reality is I never truly switch off. I live on campus, therefore I sleep in the same room in which I study and write essays in and this makes it hard to truly relax. I may spend hours scrolling through Twitter and Instagram, but I'm also checking out new blogs and talking to fellow bloggers or responding to brand emails.

We all have them moments, it's the day before we are due to have a new post go live and we have zero ideas, I would describe the experience to be similar to going on a date with someone new but having no idea what to wear.
