Welcome to my not-so-minimalist desk setup. It might look a little chaotic, but I promise everything has its place… mostly.

No it’s not the perfectly styled, beige desk setup you usually see online, but it’s cosy, creative and very me. My desk has gone through many variations throughout the past 8 years, but I’ve now found a setup that works for me and my creative process.

The actual work corner—my MacBook, daily planner, camera, a candle and always some form of fun drink.

Today’s choice was a freddo cappuccino.

I almost always have music playing while I work, and right now @museband newest album is on repeat.

I’m also attempting to make more of an effort to use my iPad more, rather than letting it sit there looking pretty.

An excessive number of pens and highlighters, plus skincare and emergency nail glue within reaching distance at all times.

All completely essential, obviously.

I always find it interesting seeing what products people actually use every day, rather than the ones that just make it into a favourites video... so here’s mine.

My routine is pretty simple because, realistically, that’s what I’ll stick to. My skin’s on the drier side, so hydration is always the priority, and SPF is one thing I don’t negotiate on.

These are the products that have earned a permanent spot on my bathroom shelf... at least until my inner skincare magpie spots something new. 👀

One of the biggest shifts I made in my own marketing was caring less about vanity metrics and paying more attention to the signals that actually tell me whether my content is working.

Things like:
• Are people saving this to come back to?
• Are they sharing it with someone?
• Are they clicking through because they’re curious?
• Are they starting conversations?

Because I’d rather have 50 people genuinely paying attention than 5,000 people scrolling straight past.

June, in no particular order...

☁️ Building Aesthetic Obsessed every chance I got. Pitch decks, strategy docs, content, my website, systems... the behind-the-scenes work that no one really sees, but that’s slowly turning an idea into a business.

📚 Reading more than I have in a long time. My Kindle barely got a day off this month, and I’d forgotten how much reading helps me switch my brain off after a day at my laptop.

🌿 Spending more time outside (before the UK decided 36°C was a sensible temperature). Walks, fresh air and taking Rupert on little adventures became some of my favourite parts of the week.

🎤 Seeing Harry Styles. Safe to say this will be living rent-free in my mind for a very long time.

🍜 Eating exceptionally well. At this point, I genuinely think M&S should consider sponsoring me.

🎨 Making time for hobbies that don’t involve a screen. Painting, journaling, gaming and reminding myself that creativity doesn’t only happen when it’s “productive.”

🐈 Spending plenty of time with Rupert, who continues to be my favourite little coworker and shadow.

👗 Wearing outfits that definitely didn’t need an occasion. Sometimes getting dressed up just to pop to the shop is good for the soul.

Looking back, June wasn’t really about one big moment. It was lots of small ones. Quiet progress, little routines, finding a better balance between building something I’m proud of and actually enjoying the life I’m building alongside it.

Here’s to seeing what July has in store. 🤍

Nothing beats a cosy and productive day.

With the raining pouring on the roof I started reading Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley, also started a new paint by numbers (hoping to hang it in the kitchen). Then it was lunch time and nothing says cosy like a jacket potato 🥰

Inspiration struck in the evening and I successfully created my service guide for Aesthetic Obsessed AND discovery questionnaire which automatically links to my @notionhq dashboard.

In building my own business I’m learning a lot about myself both professionally and personally and it’s so interesting to discover new (and some forgotten) aspects of my personality and life that I love 🥰

If your entire campaign can fit into a single Instagram post, it probably isn’t a campaign.

The strongest campaigns I’ve worked on have never lived in one place.

They’re woven through content, email, SEO, creator partnerships, client experience and conversation.

Not because people need to hear the same thing over and over.

Because people need multiple opportunities to notice it.

Visibility isn’t built from one moment.

It’s built from repeated, intentional touchpoints.

That’s the difference between creating content and building a campaign.

I feel like June is one of those months where beauty brands either really connect with people… or just post for the sake of posting 👀

Because nobody wants to feel like they’re being sold to right now.

They want:
“what do I book before holiday?”
“why is my skin suddenly freaking out in the heat?”
“how do I look polished without loads of maintenance?”
“what actually works?”

That’s the kind of content people are naturally engaging with at the moment. Less perfect campaigns. More relevant conversations.

So instead of guessing what to post this month, I’d focus on what’s already happening in your client’s life:
✈️ holidays
☀️ heatwaves
🍓 summer events
🎶 Wembley concerts
💅 low-maintenance beauty
🧴 simpler skincare routines

This is the kind of strategy I always come back to when planning content.
Not “what do we want to push?”
But “what is the audience already thinking about?”

That’s where the good content lives.
