The results driven skincare brand i adore

Skincare...but with results

When it comes to skincare I used to have really simple regime and I didn't really know what was going on with my skin - I just kind of brought products and hoped for the best. It's been a while since I wrote my Current Skin Care Favourites post and while I still use the Soap & Glory foam cleanser from time to time, 90% of my skincare regime is iS Clinical. Now if it wasn't for my job I'd probably have never discovered this brand for myself, but since I help look after all the marketing for the brand in the UK it's one I've come to known very well in the past year. While I may work with this brand - all of my opinions I've developed over the past year and are completely my own - all of the products I mention I use on a regular basis...most of them daily. A year ago I'd never heard of results driven skincare - other than the fact that many skincare brands are dermatologically test...but it surprised me when this doesn't mean they're actually any good. Nope a good skincare brand has clinical papers and case studies to back up its claims...both of which iS Clinical has. iS Clinical products are also packed full of ACTIVE INGREDIENTS...meaning the ingredients that actually do something - all of which are pharmaceutical grade...which means you can actually work at a lower percentage than what most high-street brands do. I've since ditched the makeup wipes except for a few drunken nights out where at least they're better than sleeping in my makeup. And I am now embracing an easy 4 step skincare regime.

Step 1: Cleanse

Cream Cleanser

Hands down my holy grail cleanser...and I've tried them all from the range! Designed for dry skin, this cleanser is perfect as part of a double cleanser - or simply as a single cleanse. even better it actually removed makeup without burning...it's even removes waterproof mascara without a single problem. It contains glycerin which helps to create a protective barrier on the skin, as well as aid the healing and development of normal skin cells. As well as this it also contains coconut oil which is a power antioxidant, antifungal and antimicrobial agent.

Step 2: Treat

Pro-Heal Serum Advanced +

Now this product is perfect for just about anyone, it's a powerful antioxidant and I use to help heal breakouts when they first appear. I use this most mornings...as I do suffer from stress induced spots - also my diet hasn't been great the past few months so I've also been getting spots because of that...plus hormones. While I use it for breakouts, it's also great for reducing inflammation and redness associated with rosacea, cystic acne and bug bits. It contains a range of vitamins including; Vitamin C, E and A all of which combine to make a great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory product that is still gentle on the skin.

Active Serum

This isn't one of iS Clinical 'hero products' for nothing. This was the first serum I tried from the range and it has been part of the evening regime for the past 8 or 9 months. While I typically only use it 4 out of 7 days as it does dry my skin out slightly if I use it 7 days a week - it is absolutely great at reducing my breakouts. While I used to get multiple spots at least 7 or 8 at a time, it's now only 1 or 2 that leave in a couple of days. This is due to the fact that this product contains glycolic, lactic and salicylic acid which all help with exfoliation, desquamation and deep cleansing. Helping to reduce not only breakouts, but also fine lines and wrinkles which I suddenly seem to have developed since turning 22.

Step 3: Hydrate

Reparative Moisture Emulsion

When I first started working with the brand, this moisturiser was introduced to me as ideal for older skin...however after feeling the texture it appealed to me a lot. It was also created in conjunction with leading makeup artists, so I just had to give it a try. I've never looked back since. A little bit of this product goes a long way and it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and ready for makeup...or glowing if I'm going makeup free. Now it contains iS Clinical's fancy Extremozymes which help to protect and repair proteins and DNA components, as well as copper tripeptide growth factor to help stimulate the synthesis of collagen in the skin. So basically I'm going to be looking baby faced for the rest of my life fingers crossed

Copper Firming Mist

I mentioned this product back in July 2018 in my New Discoveries And Old Faithfuls, in which I mentioned it was a staple in my handbag...it still is. It never left, it just got replaced when I ran out. I carry a COPPER FIRMING MIST wherever I go as it's perfect for an instant refresh and a lovely cool down on a hot summer's day...plus it actually helps the skin rather than just squirting water in your face. I found it great while I was in Turkey to just spritz on my face while I was around the pool to not only refresh my skin after it was dipped in chlorine, but also to help it look brighter and more radiant without having to apply a thick layer of foundation.

Step 4: protect

Eclipse SPF 50+

I'm a red head, I burn at the hint of sun. It wasn't until I started working in the skincare industry that I realised just how important and SPF was...sure I used to use a foundation that contained SPF, but this isn't enough. It doesn't even compare to using a stand-alone SPF product. I absolutely adore this SPF and use it twice a day fun fact you can get UV damage from street lights, and it just sinks beautifully into the skin. Also it's water resistant for up to 40 minutes which is an absolute bonus I think. It's completely lightweight on the skin and doesn't feel like I'm wearing a thick SPF.

The mini fire & ice

The FIRE & ICE facial is THE signature treatment for iS Clinical and is a red carpet favourite for many celebrities...however unlike those celebrities I don't have the money to get a facial done every other week...which is where the mini fire & ice comes in. Comprised of the TRI-ACTIVE EXFOLIATING MASQUEI still have the old tri-active exfoliant but they're very similar products and the HYDRA-INTENSIVE COOLING MASQUE. The TRI-ACTIVE EXFOLIATING MASQUE offers a safe and effective physical and biochemical exfoliation, helping to minimise pore size and instantly smooth and polishing the skin, while the HYDRA-INTENSIVE COOLING MASQUE provides powerful hydration, as well as a cool and refreshing sensation. Together they leave the skin look bright, glowing and make me want to ditch makeup for good...but I never will because I love makeup.
