The Perfect Mothers Day Gift with Ocean Retail Park*

Last week reality set in that Mother's Day wasn't far away and I hadn't even given it a second thought. Luckily Ocean Retail Park, Portsmouth allowed me the pleasure of browsing their small, but useful selection of shops. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Valentine's or Easter...I think we can all agree that Mother's Day is a day to celebrate. It's the one day of the year that mum's and guardians can put their feet up, relax and be spoiled by their children. Now my family have never done anything crazy for mothers day but we do always pick up some flowers and a card at least - after all it is the thought that counts.

With 650 FREE parking spaces and 16 different shops to browse, Ocean Retail Park is a good alternative to the hustle and bustle of the city centre (located 2.8 miles away). The park is open late seven days a week and even offers baby changing facilities, free Wifi, a click and collect service along with 31 disabled parking bays.However just like Valentines day, you should appreciate your mum every single day - or whoever your mother figure is in your life. Admire them, appreciate them, show them you love them every single day.

Since I moved to Portsmouth last summer, I have visited Ocean Retail Park at least once a fortnight. Located on Burrsfield Road, Portsmouth this retail park has me reeling in fond memories of my childhood and taking trips to Toys R Us...although it is no more the retail park is now the perfect place for the shopping addict - but budget conscious girl I am. While I do pick up the odd treat in M&S, and constantly ogle the iMacs in PC World...my number one go-to is always TKMaxx and it's not very often I leave empty handed. Unlike most TkMaxx's I've visited this one doesn't actually look like a tornado has just passed through. Meaning shopping is actually an almost peaceful experience - almost. However, the intention of my most recent trip wasn't for personal gain and instead was to snoop out some idea Mother's Day gifts. Now TKMaxx has so many different types of items available your bound to find something perfect for every mum.

I'm still shocked I managed to find a Radley Keyring, Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette, Pretty Honest by Sal Hughes and Essie nail polish...it was definitely a good day. I wasn't just shopping for my mum, I wanted to show the range of products available no matter the age of the mum...mum's always deserve nice things. Offering a wide selection of items up to 70% off the retail price you're bound to find something perfect...without bankrupting yourself. Which I'm sure most mums appreciate not having to bail you out because you spent more money than you had on a present.
