We’re only just getting into September, but if you’re a clinic owner, now is when I’d be starting to think about what the last few months of the year actually look like.

Not just what you’re posting for Black Friday.

What treatments do you want to be pushing? What content do you need to get filmed? Are your website and booking journey ready? What are you doing with email? And what happens when Christmas is over and suddenly it’s January?

There’s a lot that goes into Q4 marketing before a single post makes it onto Instagram.

So I’ve basically put my pre-Q4 brain dump into a carousel 😂

Save this one and use it as a bit of a checklist over the next few weeks.

Turns out, creativity doesn’t really have an aesthetic 😂

I might show up to our strategy call looking put together, but there’s a very good chance the actual strategy is being built in my PJs, with my hair on top of my head and a pair of eye masks on.

I’ve realised I do some of my best thinking when I’m comfortable… so apparently this is just part of the creative process now 💻

The end result will still be pretty, promise.

This is one of those tiny bits of marketing admin that’s very easy to miss, particularly when you’re understandably excited about some lovely PR coverage.

Being featured ≠ automatically having permission to republish.

So before the screenshot hits the grid, check what you’re actually allowed to use and whether an NLA licence applies.

For licensing questions, go straight to NLA Media Access website where you’ll find the latest guidelines.

Welcome to my not-so-minimalist desk setup. It might look a little chaotic, but I promise everything has its place… mostly.

No it’s not the perfectly styled, beige desk setup you usually see online, but it’s cosy, creative and very me. My desk has gone through many variations throughout the past 8 years, but I’ve now found a setup that works for me and my creative process.

I’m also attempting to make more of an effort to use my iPad more, rather than letting it sit there looking pretty.

An excessive number of pens and highlighters, plus skincare and emergency nail glue within reaching distance at all times.

All completely essential, obviously.

Welcome to my not-so-minimalist desk setup. It might look a little chaotic, but I promise everything has its place… mostly.

No it’s not the perfectly styled, beige desk setup you usually see online, but it’s cosy, creative and very me. My desk has gone through many variations throughout the past 8 years, but I’ve now found a setup that works for me and my creative process.

I always find it interesting seeing what products people actually use every day, rather than the ones that just make it into a favourites video... so here’s mine.

My routine is pretty simple because, realistically, that’s what I’ll stick to. My skin’s on the drier side, so hydration is always the priority, and SPF is one thing I don’t negotiate on.

These are the products that have earned a permanent spot on my bathroom shelf... at least until my inner skincare magpie spots something new. 👀

More likes. More followers. More reach.

But if none of those things are leading to enquiries, bookings or genuine interest... what are they actually telling you?

One of the biggest shifts I made in my own marketing was caring less about vanity metrics and paying more attention to the signals that actually tell me whether my content is working.

Things like:
• Are people saving this to come back to?
• Are they sharing it with someone?
• Are they clicking through because they’re curious?
• Are they starting conversations?

Because I’d rather have 50 people genuinely paying attention than 5,000 people scrolling straight past.

June, in no particular order...

☁️ Building Aesthetic Obsessed every chance I got. Pitch decks, strategy docs, content, my website, systems... the behind-the-scenes work that no one really sees, but that’s slowly turning an idea into a business.

📚 Reading more than I have in a long time. My Kindle barely got a day off this month, and I’d forgotten how much reading helps me switch my brain off after a day at my laptop.

🌿 Spending more time outside (before the UK decided 36°C was a sensible temperature). Walks, fresh air and taking Rupert on little adventures became some of my favourite parts of the week.

🎤 Seeing Harry Styles. Safe to say this will be living rent-free in my mind for a very long time.

🍜 Eating exceptionally well. At this point, I genuinely think M&S should consider sponsoring me.

🎨 Making time for hobbies that don’t involve a screen. Painting, journaling, gaming and reminding myself that creativity doesn’t only happen when it’s “productive.”

🐈 Spending plenty of time with Rupert, who continues to be my favourite little coworker and shadow.

👗 Wearing outfits that definitely didn’t need an occasion. Sometimes getting dressed up just to pop to the shop is good for the soul.

Looking back, June wasn’t really about one big moment. It was lots of small ones. Quiet progress, little routines, finding a better balance between building something I’m proud of and actually enjoying the life I’m building alongside it.

Here’s to seeing what July has in store. 🤍
