Testing Zoella Beauty

If you haven’t heard of Zoella or Zoe Sugg then you must have been living under a rock, she’s basically the queen of the internet who also has her own beauty and lifestyle ranges. Now I have several products from her lifestyle range, and I was also lucky though to visit the Zoella Winter Wonderland and get a look at the Christmas 2017 collection…which is amazing. However, before this event, I’d only ever tried one Zoella Beauty product and that was the Hungry Hands hand cream from last years Christmas collection.

Now feel free to disagree with me but I thought that the earlier Zoella Beauty Collections (the original range and Tutti Fruiti) seemed to be aimed at her younger viewers and that put off trying anything…especially as she’s always going on about how most of her viewers are 18+ yet she seemed to be catering to those pre-teen fans. When I saw the Sweet Inspirations range I thought it looked a lot more mature and seemed a lot more up my street than the previous collections, but I didn’t want to pick anything up until I finished some of the items I currently had in my collection…it took so long that she released the Gelato collection in that time. This was the collection that gave me that extra nudge to go out and pick some goodies up…plus Superdrug had 3 for 2 on as well.

So here are my thoughts on the products I’ve tried.

Double Creme Body Lotion

I’ve been obsessed with this body lotion since I first used it. I normally have really sensitive skin so I have to be careful what sort of fragranced products I put on my skin so I was cautious to try it out…but holy crap it moisturises like there’s no tomorrow. I’ve fallen so much in love with this product that I’ve gone out and purchased another two tubes of it so that I don’t run out anytime soon, otherwise, I’m not sure what I’ll do. Not only does this product actually work but it also smells absolutely incredible.

Now I wasn’t a fan of the original scent or the Tuti Fruit (hence why I didn’t pick any products up) but the Sweet Inspirations scent reminds me of vanilla (which if you know me, you know it’s one of my favourite smells ever). When I apply this lotion after getting out of the bath I always feel like an actual vanilla sweetie and it’s great. Another plus side to this lotion is that it doesn’t take long to absorb into the skin…I hate feeling sticky after applying moisturisers which is why I previously never applied them regularly, but this Zoella beauty one is doing my skin a world of good.

Gelato Cream Body Scrub

Obviously, I couldn’t pick up some Zoella products with grabbing a couple of items from the new collection. Now I adore body scrubs and I normally use the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish but I find this one gets a bit rough on my skin after a while, meanwhile, the Zoella one I can use every day without over-exfoliating my skin. I’ve also stopped fake tanning so I don’t have to worry about creating a perfectly smooth base as much, instead it’s just nice to get rid of any dead skin cells I have and leave my skin feeling baby soft. Having soft skin makes me feel a hell of a lot more confident about going out without tights…especially at the moment as it’s still warm a lot of the time so sometimes tights just aren’t necessary yet.

Le Fizz Fragranced Bath Fizzer

I’m very much a Lush snob when it comes to bath bombs/ fizzers but when I saw one in the Zoella range (particularly the one in the Sweet Inspirations range) I couldn’t help but pick it up and it’s divine. While it isn’t the most visually spectacular thing, it really does make the bath smell amazing and leaves my skin feeling amazing. If I were to compare it to any Lush product I’d have to say it was most similar to Butterball, which is a nice classic and minimalistic bath bomb for when I’m not feeling too fancy.

Sweet Inspirations Body Mist

Hands down my favourite Zoella fragrance I own (okay I don’t own many) but this one ticks all the right boxes for me to be my perfect day-to-day scent. It’s a sweet scent that is mostly vanilla and while it’s probably more summer appropriate you can bet your sweet ass that I’m going to be rocking this scent throughout autumn and winter. Although I’ll probably use Snow’ella as well The bottle for this fragrance is also adorable and while it is glass, I’ve carried it around in my handbag and not had any casualties touch wood so it seems pretty durable, although I’m not sure how it would hold up for travelling as it is bigger than 100ml and you’d have to put it in the hold…though I’m sure wrapped up in clothing it would be fine.

Gelat’ Eau Body Mist

Now since I love the Sweet Inspirations body mist, I thought I’d also love this one since everyone said it was also quite sweet, however when I smelt it I didn’t think there was actually much of a scent to it and was mildly disappointed. I don’t think I’ll be wearing this very often unless I run out of all my other scents, and instead I’ll probably just keep it to use as a photo prop opposed to actually wearing and loving it. I can see how someone could quite like this scent, but it just isn’t for a lover of very sweet or very musky scents.

[pipdig_padded-text] Have you tried anything from any of Zoe’s collections? If so what are your favourite items? I have to say the Sweet Inspirations body mist and body lotion are my two favourites and have become staples in my everyday life…along with a couple of items from the Snow’ella range.
