This time of year is renown for being the party season, we see advertisements for glittery dresses and velvet everywhere, but what people tend to forget about is their makeup. I personally will do my makeup before I decide on an outfit…after all you can easily change clothes but it takes hours to redo a full face of makeup…especially when your eyeliner is even for once! Within this post I’m going to show you one of my favourite go-to looks for the party season; surprisingly it isn’t filled with glitter like you may have expected. Christmas is one of my favourite times of year because it is always suitable to go out wearing a red lip…I just adore a good red lip way too much.
Christmas is one of my favourite times of year because it is always suitable to go out wearing a red lip…I just adore a good red lip way too much. Also, everyone is extremely happy and in good spirits because they get a break from work and school; instead they are spending this time with their loved ones. I personally find myself pushing myself to be more creative with my makeup looks as the party season starts
I feel like burnt reds and bronze shades at the perfect colours to go on the eyes during the party season as they’re not too dramatic but can be toned up or down depending on the lip colour chosen to go with them. When using these shades I prefer to stick to a brown eyeliner opposed to black as I find it compliments the colours I’ve chosen a lot more as well as helps to make my eyes pop more than black would. With this particular looks I don’t often use a lot of bronzer, or contour to the extreme instead I add a subtle wash of colour…just to add a bit of colour to my stupidly pale skin…I do, however, still like my highlight to be blinding!
If you were to copy this look exactly I would personally wear it on a night out or to a Christmas party…or even save it for Christmas day as the red lips just make it the touch more dramatic, you could quite easily pair this look with a nude or light pink lip though to make it a lot more wearable for the daytime.
