Springtime Gingham

It's gingham time

I've come home for the easter holidays, which means my mum is on hand to be my personal photographer for outfit posts. As well as this, it also meant a different Primark to explore, full of different items to the Hammersmith one, which I visit on a weekly basis...and during my adventure to the Portsmouth Primark, I spotted this black and white gingham peplum shirt (£10.00; similar one available here). It was love at first sight. While I was in primary school, I used to love wearing the gingham summer dresses; apparently, my love of gingham is still around at age twenty.

You could certainly pair this top with a denim skirt, black bodycon skirt or multiple different colours of jeans. I decided to go with black jeans and cute grey lace-up shoes (the same ones that I wore to the MUR birthday party, and they're unbelievably comfortable, as well as completely versatile from day to night). I paired my Millen Quilted Chain Strap Bag from Pretty Little Thing (£25.00 black sold out) with this outfit and I feel it just fitted so well. Since the sun is making an appearance, sunglasses were a must, and I just threw on a pair of light pink frames from Primark.

I felt extremely confident while wearing this outfit, and I'm excited to see how this top will look paired with a pair of blue embroidered mom jeans I have at uni, and I'm praying I don't end up looking like a farmer's daughter! I will be purchasing a lot more gingham items in the coming weeks (I do have a gingham shift dress as well from Jack Wills which I love).
