A NEW YEAR IS HERE AND THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS
Is it 2018…how? I remember seeing in 2000…I was only 3 but it’s my first memory I have. I also remember when 2010 happened and it was scary that we were in double digits…now we are closer to 2020 than 2010. I did a reflection Looking back at 2017 and for me 2017 has a crap start, I was dumped only a couple of days into the New Year and this year life is amazing. I’m in a great place with pretty much everything and I’ve got that ‘Elle Woods when Warner said she wasn’t smart enough for Harvard’ attitude, I’m going to work hard and make 2018 the year I go full-time with blogging…or at least see it as something within touching reach.
Something I noticed in 2017 was that I didn’t have many friends back home in Portsmouth, we’d all drifted apart over the years and it made me value my other friends a hell of a lot more. I would love to make even more friends in 2018, particularly blogging friends that I can go for coffee with and just chat about things that some of my uni friends and Sam don’t understand…such as the Instagram algorithm or who is slaying outfit shoots.
I’m only a few months away from graduating with a degree in dance, that I don’t plan on using unless I lose 3 stone, grow 3 inches and develop perfect technique in those months. This means moving home and trying to find a job where I can start saving some money before finding my own place…but before that I have 1 essay, 1 practical exam and 1 dissertation stood between me and walking across the stage at the Royal Festival Hall.
“IT WON’T BE EASY BUT IT’LL BE WORTH IT”
2018 will mark 2 years of Aesthetic Obsessed, which is absolutely crazy and back in September I started to vlog the odd event and posted the videos on my YouTube channel and as a result I’ve decided to go one step further and decided I want to start making sit down videos. To me this just feels like the next step in my journey. By taking this step I can also adventure into the world of makeup tutorials…although I’m obvious no sort of expert or professional but I’ve had quite a few people ask for tutorials on the looks I’ve posted on Instagram. To me it’ll hopefully be easier to film these rather than trying to explain them in a blog post. Although I will probably still be a lot more active on my blog than my YouTube channel…but still go subscribe to it.
TURNING TWENTY ONE
In some crazy turn of events I’m turning 21 in 6 days! Who thought that you actually get older every year? Although it only just feels like I turned 18…but I’m guess I’m going to be a real proper adult. Also finally able to travel to America and drink, cause priorities. Turning 21 means I’m also one step to graduating…which means I also have to decide what to do with my life,
as well as trying to earn enough money to get my own place. This is the first birthday since my 18th that I’m actually celebrating down in Portsmouth as by some miracle my classes don’t start until the 16th. You can bet that I’m having 2 celebrations though with both my groups of friends.
In 2017 I traveled to Croatia, Turkey, Doncaster, Surrey and Birmingham ad while most of them were only for short visits I had great fun exploring more of the country. I currently have 2 holidays discussed, but I certainly want to see more of the world, and even more of the UK. It’s amazing how different life and the cost of living is around the country, I don’t think I’ll ever be over the shock of only paying £2.50 for a cocktail in Doncaster. £2.50!
I’m very much a sun baby though…even if I do get burnt with factor 50 on. Although my number location I want to visit is Iceland so I can watch the aurora borealis (northern lights) from one of the snazzy glass igloos…slightly out of my price range…but one day.
